Last weekend, the release of 'Prementha Panichese Narayana' saw the presence of a Telugu-speaking girl at the box-office. She is Akshitha, who hails from Kadapa.
"I lived in Kadapa till Class X. After I moved to Hyderabad to study in a college, I developed an interest in acting. I bagged my first film through a family friend who is related to the film industry. Even as a child, I was very fond of dancing," the 21-year-old actress tells IndiaGlitz.
Akshitha plays the role of a calm-going girl in 'PPN', which stars debutant Harikrishna (son of director Jonnalagadda Srinivasa Rao) as the hero.
The youngster is not averse to playing glamorous roles provided the character demands.
Opening up on the prevalence of casting couch in the industry, she says, "I have been fortunate enough not to face casting couch. But I know of a friend who failed to bag a film only because she refused to give in."
Akshitha is listening to scripts and is ready to do interesting roles.
