The gossip mill currently says that Maniratnam might release a teaser promo of his upcoming and much awaited film Kadal on the interent on the 1st of January 2013. The audio release of the film by AR Rahman had an immense response and the Telugu version Kadali released on Christmas was an equal hit. Both the versions of the songs are listened and played repeatedly immediately after the release. A typical AR Rahman treat it is.
The film, featuring debutantes Gautham Karthik, son of Karthick and Thulasi Nair, daughter of Radha is a story about the life of Christian fishermen who believe that faith can actually achieve fulfillment in life. The actual film is to be released on the 1st of February 2013 worldwide and Gemini Film Circuit holds all the rights for Kadal.
