"If you want to play me, I will play the game. If you want to kill me, I will end the game," says Upendra's character in the action-packed, edgy trailer for 'Kabzaa', a pan-India gangster film that has the Indian Real Star in the role of an underworld supremacist. When the film hits the screens on March 17, we will know what the end game is all about.
Directed by helmer R Chandru, the period film's story unfolds from 1947 until 1980. And the passage of time is effectively captured if you have an eye for detail. Upendra is introduced a bit late but once he is in, he makes the cut as a cop, a white shirt-clad fighter, and then a dashing leader who knows how to play and end the game.
Kichcha Sudeepa, who was recently seen in 'Vikrant Rona' and Shriya Saran make an appearance that doesn't last long. But they surely must be having substantial roles in the story. Dr Shivarajkumar, Murali Sharma, Posani Krishna Murali, Sudha, Anoop Revanna, Kabir Duhan Singh, Dev Gill, Kamarajan, Nawab Shah and John Kokken have different roles.
Ravi Basrur's background score is booming. Produced by R Chandra Shekar, the film has cinematography by AJ Shetty. The Production Design is by Shivakumar, while Editing is by Deepu S Kumar.
