Kabir Khan's '83' becomes highest grossing & most celebrated Indian film in overseas of 2021!

Kabir Khan's sports drama '83' had all the qualities of being a blockbuster but unfortunately, due to several factors, its box office performance was hindered significantly. Despite that, '83' managed to become the highest grossing Bollywood movie of 2021 in the overseas markets.

The film was a victim of bad release timing as it was released just before the third wave of pandemic. It had to face factors like lockdown, weekend curfews, 50% occupancy in theatres and what not. However, '83' battled against all odds and managed to gross around 125 crore rupees domestically and 63 crore rupees in overseas markets.

Keeping the ecomics aside, '83' was a well crafted and well performed film in all aspects and it was massively loved by the audience. Talking about that, Kabir Khan said, The kind of love and appreciation that the movie has received from the people across the globe is truly heart-warming and flattering. Wherever there are no Covid-19 related restrictions and theatres functioning properly with full seating capacity, the film has performed brilliantly in those markets. And that’s a sheer indication of the fact that the film has been hugely appreciated by the audience, worldwide.
