Kabali
Superstar Rajinikanth’s soon to be released ‘Kabali’ is directed by Ranjith of ‘Attakathi’ and ‘Madras’ fame in which he plays the role of an aging gangster. The film has Radihika Apte as the lead heroine with Dinesh, Kalaiarasan, Dhanshika, Riythvika and Kishore in pivotal roles.
‘Kabali’ ‘s music is by Santhosh Narayanan, camera by G. Murali, Edited by Praveen K. L and produced by Kalaipuli Thanu. The film was shot in Chennai Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand and is currently in post production.
The story of ‘Kabali’ is that Superstar Rajinikanth is sent to prison by the main villain Winston Chao and he comes back after twenty five years to take over his position as the chief don. The villain’s gang is called ‘43 O’. So how Kabali manages to collapse the empire single handedly forms the crux of the film. Though the film is laden with all commercial elements including introduction song for Rajini, duet song etc it is said that the director has focused more on Rajinikanth the actor and has shot the film in such a way that ‘Kabali’ will be on the lines of ‘Mullum Malarum’. The film is set to release on the 22nd of July 2016.
