Rajinikanth's Kabali is releasing on May 27. The reason for the deferment is that Tamil Nadu is going to elections on May 16. So, the makers have decided to put off the release till the elections are over.
Shot in Malaysia for more than 40 days, the film's shoot is done. Post-production works are currently on. The teaser will be out in the first week of April. The music will be out in the second week of that month.
Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu says that it's a film of a lifetime. "I will remember this film for the rest of my life. Wilson Chow, the Chinese actor, is playing the villain. Rajini's look and his performance as Kabali will be the biggest highlights. All the songs have come out well. It has shaped up as a thorough stylish entertainer."
Santosh Narayanan is scoring the music. Seetharama Sastry, Chandrabose, and Ananth Sriram are penning the lyrics. Cinematography is by Murali. Art direction is by Ramalingam. Stunt choreography is by Anbarivu. Dialogues are by Sahithi.
Radhika Apte, Dhansika, Kishore, and John Vijay are playing the other important roles.
The gangster thriller is being made on a huge scale in Tamil and Telugu.
