A group of youngsters from Khandaya and Visthara theatre have joined together to make a film on indigenous popular game 0 as the background of the film. This is not like 'Lagaan' clarifies debutant director Narendra Babu speaking to media persons at Karnataka State Cricket Association. The film is interspersed with love and Kabaddi game. You would get to see half an hour Kabaddi game in the film. A national level Kabaddi competition from May 17 to 20 will be held in Mandya for the purpose of the film. 50000 persons would be accommodated to see this match spending Rs.40 lakhs. The Vikas Sports Club and Shivalingu of Mandya Sports Amateur club is organizing this event. Three cameras will be used for this portion. After this 46 days of shooting will be held for the film.

I am influenced from English cinema 'Man of the Year' and Kannada film 'Nagarahavu' for preparing the script of this film says Babu. He was a student of writer cum director Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar when he was studying PUC at PES College. His mentor is reputed cameraman Askho Kashyap. In this film 'Kabaddi' the hero is from Mandya and coach played by Kishore is from Dharwad. 90 percent of the shooting will be held in Mandya and 10 percent outside.
