Kaaviya Thalaivan
After 'Aravaan' Vasantha Balan is back with one more historical movie and this time he had hired the services of Prithiviraj and Siddharth to recreate the magnificent era of theatre artists, which is set in 1920’s. Vasantha Balan got to know about the novel 'Ennathu Naadaga Vazhkkai' an autobiography of Avvai Shamugham through Jeyamohan and started scripting 'Kaaviya Thalaivan'.
The film will be narrating the lives of theatre artists’ in the 1920's and 1930’s before the film era. Initially a few reports stated that the movie would be based on the lives of Sundarambal and Kittappa, and later the same has been ruled out as mere rumors.
A.R. Rahman's songs have received wonderful reviews and given the much needed push ahead of the film’s release. Apart from Siddharth and Prithviraj, the movie stars, Vedhika, Nasser, Anaika Soti, Thambi Ramiah, Ponvannan, Singam Puli, and Mansoor Ali Khan in important role. The movie has been jointly produced by Shashikanth’s ‘Y Not Studios’ and Varun Manian’s ‘Radiance Media. The movie will be distributed by Dream Factory.
