'Kaasi', starring Vijay Antony in the lead, is directed b a woman director named Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi. She has also written the film. A day before its release tomorrow (May 18), it's pertinent to take stock of what is in store in the drama.

Going by the director's own version, 'Kaasi' is NOT a dark subject as many might be thinking. In this respect, it's unlike 'Bicchagadu' and 'Saithan'. Apart from mother-son sentiment, it has action and romance, too. In fact, it also presents the complex relationships in life in a realistic manner.

Does Vijay Antony play multiple roles in it? "They are more like multiple dimensions," the director recently clarified.

The emotional caper also features Anjali, Sunainaa, Nasser, Shilpa, Amritha, Yogi Babu, RK Suresh, Vela Ramamurthy, and Jayaprakash. Music is by Vijay Antony himself.
