With creativity knowing no bounds, and with a track record to prove the same, director Gokul brings the next from his treasure box, starring Karthi, Nayan, Sri Divya, and Manisha, in Kaashmora. Having gotten us hunt down the meaning for the word, and letting us drink in the new look that the protagonist sports for the film, he has brought another rabbit out of the magician's hat, with Sandy's musical best for the film.

The first song of this album rolls out as a jazz number. Starting with an echoing chorus, the song is set in a steady rhythm, and delivers an eerie feeling innate to supernatural. In Sandy's rustic voice, the song falls in retro genre, reminiscent of the yester-decades' disco numbers. The song is descriptive - presumably of the protagonist - and speaks of him as the rogue that walks any extent unimaginable, but but visible only to his strange vision. Not quite a dance number, but the first track is enjoyable in its own mettle.

This one is a show-stopper! Be it the rich dab of pop, or Ananthu's cutting voice, or the sheer pace of it's flow, the song is highly energetic. Adding value to its zest is the funky lyrics, that rhyme and fall right on the dot every time.This number sings the set of powers that the lead role possesses, seemingly exclusive to him, even for trivial matters. Jagadhamma, in all, is a fun filled foot-tapping number.

The first and only romantic song of the album, this female solo is a classical erotic number. With the percussion typical of classical carnatic of the yore, the deep and sensual beats, complemented by Kalpana's strong voice, do perfect justice to one another. Lalithanand's lyrics steal the show with the creative usage of rhythmic and ear-soothing choice of words. Neither falling flat and sweet, nor turning vulgar and slimy, the song perfectly treads the thin line of erotica, making the song an absolute poetry.

At the concluding note, comes a power-packed fighter cock. Worded to fit rage best, the song is set to a high-energy rock. While most of the song is sung by Sai, Santhosh joins in chorus in parts; together, they deliver a zealous number in fast pace. Muthamil's lyrics drive home a feeling of the fast action typical of a warrior at the war front, especially at a time of dire necessity. Musically defined, the song itself is however from a unique genre, that is neither exclusively anger, nor hope - it is all encompassing.
The entire album has a tinge of echo to it, the depth of which lands the right notes for a supernatural score. With two karaoke tracks thrown into the kitty, Kashmora is a delightful album. It needs no introduction that Santhosh Narayanan is a musical genius; we have seen this right from his debut, to the recently blockbuster success, Kabali. Adding one more feather to his hat, Sathosh has struck the chord, yet again, as being one-of-a-kind.
