'Kaashmora' and 'Kodi'- Second weekend Box Office Performance

Actor Karthi's 'Kaashmora' and multi-talented actor Dhanush's 'Kodi' released in October last week as a Diwali treat have successfully completed the second weekend at the box office retaining remarkable number of theaters in all centers.
As far as Chennai Box Office is concerned both the films have been holding well with an average of 75% and 65% theater occupancy in the three day weekend that has just passed.
'Kaashmora' had 210 shows screened across 17 screens within the Chennai limits. With this the film has collected Rs.65,17,580 and the overall collections has gone well above Two crores. (Rs.2,84,79,220).
'Kodi' has been retained in 23 screens and had 281 shows screened in the three days of the weekend between November 4 and 6. The film has collected around Rs.63,04,140. The total collection made by the film after the completion of two weekends at the Chennai BO stands well above Two crores and it is slightly above the collections made by 'Kaashmora' as this film got more number of screens in Chennai. (Rs.2,98,12,550).
Come Thursday and Friday we will have two biggies in the form of GV Prakash starrer 'Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru' directed by Rajesh and Silambarasan's 'Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada' directed by Gautham Menon. We will have to wait and see how the new releases affect the Diwali hits.
