One of the biggest multistarrers coming your way is 'Kaappaan' directed by K.V. Anand starring Suriya, Mohan Lal, Arya, Samuthirakani, Boman Irani and Sayyeshaa. Lyca Productions have locked the release date as September 20th.

One A. John Charles claiming to be in the film industry for over a decade has filed a case alleging that the story of 'Kaappaan' has been stolen from his script 'Saravedi' which he registered in 2016. He is also adding that the core plot of the hero insisting to the prime minister about linking the rivers of India and many other scenes have been lifted. The petitioner has further claimed that he met K.V. Anand and narrated the story. The judges have given time to the 'Kaappaan' side till September 4th to file their reply.

It's become a bane for Tamil cinema as more and more plagiarism cases are being filed at the time of release. Now sadly a question mark hovers over the release of the much awaited 'Kaappaan'.
