Moser Baer Entertainments will be landing to Mollywood as a movie producer with the Onam flick `Kanaa Kanamani'. Featuring Jayaram, Padmapriya and baby Nivedhitha in Key roles, the movie is the most sought after film for this festival season. This will be the 22nd year of Jayaram in the industry, that too as the lead hero with films like this being offered for every festival seasons.
Coming for the same team of K Gireeshkumar and Akku Akbar, who has earlier delivered the big hit in `Veruthe Oru Bharya', which was also acclaimed by the critics, this new movie is rumored to have some similarities in story lines with its maker's earlier Hindi flick `Gouri', The Unborn'.
Jayaram and Padmapriya plays an young and loving couple from two different castes. They are so much in love that they always behave as if they are in their teens. After a short wait, they are blessed with a daughter. Anagha a gift of their intense love. Their first crisis in life comes when Anakha is forced to follow the religious rituals by her grandmother played by Sukumari. The film follows how the couple and their wise child overcome the associated controversies about faith and religion with their unadulterated love for each other.
Also in the cast of the movie are Biju Menon, Vijayaraghavan, and Sukumari. For the first time, Vijayraghavan will be playing a very funny character, as father to character played by Jayaram. The other highlight of the movie is the three songs set to music by Shyam Dharman.
The movie was completed in a forty day schedule of shooting by Shaji. Distributed to theatres by Megastar Mammootty's "Playhouse", `Kanaa Kanmani' will make an opening in 70 centers all across Kerala.
