‘Kaala’ to be longer, fast-paced

Ahead of the release of ‘Kaala’ on June 7, it has been revealed that the film is 165 minutes long.  After ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Rangasthalam’ (almost 180 minutes), ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ (173 minutes) and ‘Naa Peru Surya’ (167 minutes), the Rajinikanth-starrer too has a gone in for a substantial running time.  (Is it because of the songs?)  

While this is lengthier than ‘Kabali’ (by around 12 minutes), which was told in a leisurely manner, ‘Kaala’ will be fast-paced.  In so far as the pace goes, Pa.Ranjith seems to have learned from the mistakes of his last outing with the Superstar.

Also starring Nana Patekar (as a powerful villain), Huma Qureshi and Nana Patekar, the flick has music by Santhosh Narayanan.
