Dhanush's Wunderbar Films has received a breather from the Karnataka High Court, which has today ruled that 'Kaala' should be released in the Kannada state amid security. In the wake of threats to its release in Karnataka, the government has been duly asked to provide police protection at the theatres where the film will be played from June 7. Public inconvenience has to be averted by the HD Kumaraswamy government.
In its order, the HC has further directed the makers of the Rajinikanth-starrer to provide the details of exhibitors.
There is a rider though. No exhibitor can be forced to screen the film if he voluntarily backs out.
Goldie Films, which has bought the action drama, has been reported as saying that 'Kaala' will be screened in all multiplexes. In another 24 hours or so, a decision regarding single screens will be duly taken.
