Critically acclaimed actor Vijay Raaz, who shot to fame among Tamil audiences playing a baddie in the Sivakarthikeyan movie 'Kaaki Sattai' was reportedly arrested on Tuesday, by the Gondia police in a molestation case. The popular Bollywood actor was arrested on the basis of a complaint by a crew member of the Bollywood film Sherni which was being shot in the jungles of Balaghat.

“The woman came to us with the complaint on Monday night, saying she was molested by Vijay Raaz in a hotel where the film crew is staying. Based on her complaint, we lodged an FIR and arrested Raaz on Tuesday morning. A local court later granted him conditional bail,” Gondia Additional Superintendent of Police Atul Kulkarni told The Indian Express.

Reportedly, there were even eye-witnesses from the crew who have spoken to us about the accusation being true.Though he was booked under section 354A and 354D of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), where a conviction can lead to imprisonment up to three years along with a fine, the actor was granted bail on the same day by a local court.

On the work front, Raaz was last seen in films like Loot Case and Gulabo Sitabo.
