Kaaka Muttai` Manikandan has proved that he is a class apart with his Kuttramae Thandanai` and Andavan Kattalai` proving to be great additions to the list of meaningful Tamil cinema. He was all set to begin his dream project Kadaisi Vivasayi` that dealt with the plight of the Tamil farmers in great detail.

It is now being reported from reliable sources that a leading company that was to fund Kadaisi Vivasayi` has backed out of the project. It is said that the production side wanted commercial elements to be added to the screenplay but Manikandan is adamant that the story should flow in a realistic manner. Hope the filmmaker of substance gets the proper backing to make this relevant film which is the need of the time.
