Legendary playback singer K.S. Chitra's heart melting Instagram post wishing her daughter in heaven a happy birthday is currently going viral on the internet. Fans are totally moved to say the least.

Chitra has won innumerable accolades in her five decades career including the National Award for singing songs in multiple languages including Tamil. Hundreds of her memorable songs are favorites of listeners till date.

On the personal front Chitra, who is married to Vijay Shankar, had a daughter Nandana who unfortunately died in a swimming pool accident in Dubai in 2011. It took several months for the devastated singer to recover from the passing away of her only daughter. Every year on her birth and death anniversaries the loving mother never forgets to reach out to her.

In her latest Instagram post Chithra has shared a photo of her child and wrote "Happy birthday in heaven where you celebrate with angels. Just love everywhere, where the years come and go and you never grow old. Though I know you are safe even though you are away. I love and miss you a little more today. Happy birthday my dearest Nandana, God's are Born on earth and live for some days and then they go soon to their Original Place."
