Short in height but with no shortfalls in life today – KP Nanjundi is back to cinema after 14 years. He has passed a ‘Vanavas’ (in acting) but it was living with ‘Gold’ for him. The rags to riches story of this gentleman is in volumes and could come as a book.

KP Nanjundi of Vishwakarma Community is an actor, financier, goldsmith and politician of BJP today returns to acting in ‘Kanaka’ and plays a class villain opposite popular actor Dhuniya Vijay.

Nanjundi was associated with the evolution of a new newspaper but today maintaining 17 jewelry shops under ‘Lakshmi Gold Palace’ is a man with high potentiality. Although he missed the MLC position when he was in Congress I, his position is secure in the BJP.

Nanjundi addressing the media went on a flashback and that was so touching. I could not save my father when he was affected with cancer. I came from a slum. I had prayed with the god to end my father life. Later I had no money to perform cremation. Those who shine in life from poverty should always look back so that they lead a simple life throughout. I had done just that in my life KP Nanjundi explained.

I had accepted this film ‘Kanaka’ only because R Chandru. Saw him since 2003 when he was working as assistant in TV serial. When he was removed from the team, I stood behind him. He was good in writing; the backing of such persons is my habit. Today R Chandru had grown up with many good films. I expected it long ago.

When the offer from R Chandru came to me to perform as a villain one thing I did not like was kicking Dhuniya Vijay on his chest. Dhuniya Vijay has come up in life like me facing lot of struggle. R Chandru insisted on this particular shot Nanjundi explained.
