Popular producer K.E. Gnanavelraja of Studio Green has lodged a complaint against Kamal Haasan in the Producers Council regarding an issue that is pending for the past four years. According to the complaint in the year 2015 Kamal Haasan produced 'Uttama Villain' on first copy basis with director N. Linguswamy's bankrolling. The film had a troubled release due to lack of funds and Kamal had borrowed rupees ten crores from Gnanavelraja promising to act in a new movie produced by him and asking him to deduct the amount from the budget of that film.

Gnanavelraja in his complaint has claimed that even after four years Kamal has not given call sheet for a film in his production or made efforts to refund the money due to him. He has sought the help of the council to force Kamal to either act in a film or get back the money that is due. What action the council will take against Kamal will be known soon.

It is a known fact that Kamal Haasan is currently hosting 'Bigg Boss 3' for Vijay TV and is also simultaneously shooting for 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar and produced by Lyca Productions is planning to start shooting 'Thalaivan Irukkiraan' for the same production house which also stars Vadivelu.
