Jyothirmayi follows Namitha formula

Namitha got her career a good start by acting with senior heroes. Now Jyothirmayi has taken a leaf out of Namitha’s book.

A busy actress in Malayalam, she arrived in Tamil with Thalainagaram opposite Sundar C. Now she is playing heroine to Vijayakanth in Sabari and is part of Sathyaraj starrer Periyar.

In fact, Jyothirmayi does not mind acting with older pros.

An energetic Jyothirmayi said, ' I don’t find any difference between them. I go by characters and not by the heroes. Interestingly in Malayalam, artistes choose their movies based on the storyline and their character. Only in Tamil they are branded this way. If opportunity comes, I would also act with young heroes'.

Jyothirmayi is optimistic that her role as Maniammai in Periyar would do to her career a lot of good. 'To be part of such a prestigious project makes me happy. Director Gnanarajasekaran and Sathyaraj have been very co-operative and they help me to perform the role with ease'.

Similarly heaping laurels on Vijayakanth, she says, 'To act with such a mass hero should be a great learning experience for me'.

The young girl sure knows which side of the bread is buttered.
