Jyothika seems to be on a roll with back to back impressive performances in ’36 Vayathinile’ and ‘Naachiyaar’. Now the actress is gearing up for the Tamil remake of ‘Tumhari Sulu’ which is being directed by Radha Mohan.

The original edition in Hindi featured Vidya Balan in the lead role for which she received critical acclaim. Her role revolves around a woman who takes up a job as a night time Radio Jockey and the transformation on her life that ensues.

 Pertaining to this, Vidya Balan has stated  “As a Tamil ponnu, I feel happy about our film being remade in Tamil. Tumhari Sulu is a hugely special film for me and I wish Jyotika all the best in spreading the Sulu love.”

In additionto this, Jyothika has also expressede that it is her honour to essay the role in the Tamil remake of her favourite Vidya Balan movie.

The film has Mahesh Muthuswami cranking the camera and editor Praveen KL making the cuts. It is expected that the details as to the cast and crew of the film will be announced shortly.
