Suriya and Jyothika who made their first public appearance after their marriage , a couple of days back made it clear before the press that Jyothika will not do any more films and is planning to start their family life immediately.

"I have worked hard for 10 years. Now, I want to start a family and devote more time to my personal life," she said.

"I am happy I got married into a good family like Suriya's."

Jyothika thanked the media for their 'excellent coverage' of the wedding. Suriya and Jyothika will be going to Europe for their honeymoon.

Jyothika has been acknowledged as a talented artiste and the South Indian film industry will definitely miss her presence. The feeling of loss was similar when Manju Warrier and Shalini bid goodbye to films, amidst their helm of activity after their marriages, a few years ago.

Though Jyothika has appeared only in a few Malayalam films, she definitely have a huge fan following in the state. Many of her films had run for weeks in the state.

And what is more interesting is that, the only film that is in the cards for release after her marriage will be 'Seethakalyanam' in which she shared the lead with Jayaram. The film is expected to make an appearance by the end of October.
