Timberlake's DUI Woes: Arrested After Late-Night Drive in the Hamptons

Justin Timberlake was arrested in New York on charges of driving while drunk, but his lawyer stated that he has been freed.
Early Tuesday morning at 12:37 a.m., police said Timberlake was observed intoxicatedly driving in Sag Harbor, New York. Sag Harbor Police said he pulled out of his lane and at the wheel of a 2025 BMW did not stop at a stop sign.
According to court records, Timberlake admitted upon being stopped over to have "one martini" and to follow his buddies home. Officers remarked on his glassy look, bloodshot eyes, and significant alcohol smell on his breath. The cop said Timberlake was "unsteady on his feet" and had "slowed speech." He failed likewise on tests of standardized field sobriety.
Originally saying, "No, I'm not doing a chemical test," Timberlake declined to do a chemical test three times.
After being arrested, the singer stayed overnight under jail before being arraanged. His attorney Ed Burke told CNN he got penalties for skipping a stop sign and neglecting to keep in his lane.
The Suffolk County district attorney's office says Timberlake was freed without bail and is set for a virtual court appearance on July 26. Sources said, Timberlake had departed the American Hotel in Sag Harbor just before his arrest.
Timberlake is now on tour showcasing his most recent album, "Everything I Thought It Was," and scheduled to perform Friday at the United Center in Chicago.
Timberlake expressed his love and thanks on Instagram over the weekend paying a moving homage to his two sons. 43-year-old Timberlake is wed to actress Jessica Biel. Married since 2012, they have two boys, Silas, 9, and Phineas, 3.
