Just in: Director Ranjith to contest assembly polls

Renowned filmmaker Ranjith, a self-proclaimed Left wing supporter, finally enters politics and is prepping up to contest in the upcoming assembly election as an LDF candidate in Kozhikode North constituency. Ranjith will be replacing sitting MLA A Pradeep Kumar for LDF.

Reportedly, Ranjith is said to have informed the party leaders about his willingness to contest the election. The CPM has also decided to take Ranjith on board. More details to follow.
