'Jurassic World' Surpasses $1 Billion At International Box Office

This weekend, 'Jurassic World' continued its monster run at the international box office crossing $1Billion.
'Jurassic World' starring Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy) went on to add $2.7M at overseas markets thereby taking the film's in international total to $1.003Billion. The film now becomes the fourth film ever to cross $1Billion at international box office markets and joins 'Avatar' ($2.03 Billion), 'Titanic' ($1.53 Billion) and 'Furious 7' ($1.16 Billion).
Universal Pictures' President of Distribution, Duncan Clark said, "When we opened the film, we never expected to get to $1 billion but we knew we had the goods along with tremendous support from marketing and filmmakers who gave us everything. It became a movie for teens and the entire family in every country."
Universal Pictures also made the announcement that the studio had grossed $6.043 Billion overall at the worldwide box office this year and thus earning the distinction of the first studio to reach the $6 Billion milestone.
'Jurassic World' sequel will arrive in theatres on June 22, 2018.
