Political fringe groups and self proclaimed culture police are baying for the ban of Bigg Boss` and are even bent on putting behind bars the show host Kamal Haasan and the participants alleging that they promote vulgarity, obscenity and are a threat to the sanctity of the Indian/Tamil culture.

In neighboring Andhra, the Bigg Boss` Telugu version is hosted by young superstar Junior NTR to be aired from the 16th of July. Promotions are underway in full swing and clips of NTR peeping through a keyhole to catch a glimpse of ladies` legs and the participants standing in queue before the toilet seems to have irked many. The Telengana Film Chamber of Commerce head Ramakrishna has demanded the withdrawal of Junior NTR from the show, citing that the show is against Telugu culture. He has also warned that the highest ranked actor will be on a flop show if he continues.
