A baby gets lost in the dense Indian forests. With no elder to safeguard him, he is potentially a vulnerable prey to the blood hungry animals in the woods. But what happens is a tale to be told for many generations to come. Rudyard Kipling's story that's more than a century old has now taken shape into a record breaker, in modern technology. The Jungle Book is a children's story where the kid Mogli is rescued and raised by animals in the jungle.
For decades, this has kept children engaged in the form of cartoon. But this time, the ring of the very title has rekindled the child in every elder too. A week ahead of its worldwide release, Hollywood movie The Jungle Book was released in India, in multiple languages, since the boy who plays Mogli, and the very story, are of Indian origin. And this move has stunned the world with a record collection of Rs. 9.76 crores on the first day alone! With summer vacations setting in, the 10-cr mark is only expected to rise higher.
