June R
When an acclaimed ad film maker, who has churned out several hundreds of commercials is making a foray into the big screen, the expectations are bound to be high.
And it is so for June R. The movie's director is Revathy S Verma, a hot shot name in the ad world.
Apart from this aspect, the fact that this film brings together Khushboo, Saritha and Jyothika also add an extra charm to it.
An exuberant Revathy says, `I am happy that I am directing three seasoned artistes in my debut film itself'.
The movie is a realistic portrayal of human emotions with Saritha and Jyothika playing mother and daughter.
A heroine oriented subject it is, but it does not speak of womanhood. Rather, it dwells on the special bondage shared between a mother and her daughter.
`It is not an art film for it has in it all necessary commercial elements for a full length feature film, she adds.
Jyothika plays a young girl called June.
Madhu Ambat, the internationally acclaimed cinematographer is cranking the camera for the film which would have musical score by Sarath, a popular name in Malayalam industry.
Making a comeback on big screen after a long gap is Saritha. She says, `when Revathy narrated the story to me, I thought I shouldn't miss this opportunity'.
A major portion of the movie has been completed and the surprise element in the movie would be a popular hero playing a cameo.
Without revealing his name, the director says, June R will rock the theatres soon. Usha Uthup, the veteran pop singer, is singing a song in the movie.
