'Jugjugg Jeeyo': Pak singer says song is plagiarized

'Jugjugg Jeeyo', the upcoming Hindi-language comedy-drama headlined by Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani, is in trouble. Pakistani singer Abrar Ul Haq has claimed that a song titled 'Nach Punjaban' from the movie is plagiarized. Haq said that the song's tune is his.

In a tweet, the singer said that producers like Karan Johar should not copy songs. After his tweet, T-Series claimed that it owns the song's legal rights.

I have not sold my song to any Indian movie and reserve the rights to go to court to claim damages. This is my sixth song to be copied. I will not allow it. The song has not been licensed to anyone. If someone is claiming it, then produce the agreement. I will be taking legal action, Haq added.

In other news, a writer named Vishal A Singh has claimed that the film’s story was written by him.
