Dharma’s multi starrer entertainer, Jug Jugg Jeeyo starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Kohli hit the screens yesterday and has collected 9.28 cr on its day 1.

This expensive and big budget project of Dharma has failed to make the kind of impact that we saw Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 make at the box office right from its day 1, which was at 14.11 crs.

Not only did Jug Jugg Jeeyo fail to cross the collections of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, but it couldn’t even do a double digit number on Day 1.

The day 1 numbers of Jug Jugg Jeeyo couldn’t even cross the first day collections of Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Akshay’s Samrat Prithviraj, which eventually tanked at the box office.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has maintained the lead at the box office this year even after so many films released but couldn’t do anything close to what it’s done. Let it be Ranveer’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj or Ayushmann Khurrana’s Anek; all of them came and went.

On the other hand Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 managed record breaking collections at the box office despite clash with another film at the box office - Kangana Ranaut's Dhaakad. The film should cross 185 crs today.
