Jude before becoming an independent director was an ardent fan of Mammookka. When he was working as an associate director, this love and adoration led him to make a short film based on Mammootty`s biography.After completing this short film, his next aim was to show this to Mammootty. At that time he was an associate of Vineeth Sreenivasan and he told him his desire.

Vineeth Sreenivasan arranged an opportunity to meet the actor. Mammootty was shooting for the film Thappana and the director went to the sets of this film to meet him. He met him while he was coming out of the caravan. The first thing Mammootty asked was, "Is it for dates?" for which he replied "no". He then said it was to show him the short film he made about him. Mammootty then copied it his pen drive and said he will show it to his family and then give his opinion.

Later he met him in another film location. He was standing amongst the crowd; Mammootty identified him and asked him to come near him. He then told that everybody in the family liked it. The director recently acted with the actor in the film "Thoppil Joppan" where he plays as a character who argues with Mammootty for everything.
