Due to big Diwali releases in the middle of next week, 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' and 'Son of Sardaar', there is no new notable release this week.

Yes, there is a stray release in the form of 'It's Rocking - Dard-E-Disco' but its run is expected to be curtailed once Diwali biggies arrive. Moreover, zero promotion of this Bappi Lahiri starrer means the possibility of it enjoying an all-India release is ruled out as well.

In a way, one feels disappointed for the actors in the film (Akshay Kapoor, Rituparna Sengupta, Sneha Ullal, Aryeman Ramsay) who wouldn't have imagined such fate before they started shooting for it.

It is suicide no less when a film makes such an arrival in theatres and one only wonders what really was the burning desire for it to hit the screens when the eventual outcome is written all over it.

This also means that '1920 - Evil Returns', the film which took a mighty risk of arriving in pre-Diwali period along with 'Skyfall', would enjoy a free run over the weekend. Since there is no competition whatsoever, especially at the single screens, the film would benefit to a reasonable extent.
