Jr NTR has urged his fans not to celebrate his birthday on May 20. The fervent appeal comes at a time when the country is at a war with the coronavirus.

In his social media statement on Wednesday, Tarak said that he is doing very well and hopes to test negative for covid-19 soon. 

"Every year, the affection shown by you all on the occasion of my birthday is truly cherishing. But in these challenging times, the biggest gift you can give me is to stay home and follow local lockdown rules," the 'RRR' actor added. 

The Young Tiger wrote that many people have lost their livelihoods due to the pandemic. In solidarity with the the victims of coronavirus, the 'Aravindha Sametha' actor said that celebrations have to be put off. "Our medical community and frontline workers are waging a selfless and tireless war... Please take care of your family and loved ones... When all this is over and the war on Covid-19 is won, we shall celebrate together," he added. 

He also appealed to his fans to support those in need. 

The actor recently confirmed his project with director Prashanth Neel. This one will follow Koratala Siva's project.
