It's known that the First Look of Jr NTR's character shows Komaram Bheem as a Muslim in 'RRR'. Many are wondering as to what is the reason behind this. Historical records purportedly show Bheem as a tribal leader whose community observed approximately Hindu practices.
Twitter is busy debating the portrayal of Bheem in 'RRR' as a Muslim. Columnist Atul Mishra, in this regard, has observed that Bheem, much like Chandra Shekhar Azad, was the master of deceptions. "Him wearing a skullcap could be one of his many disguises," he writes. Bheem fought the Nizams.
We will know what has made SS Rajamouli and his father, Vijayendra Prasad (the story writer), to portray Bheem as a Muslim. Two biographies of Bheem are said not to contain any reference to Bheem sporting an Islamic skull cap while in a disguise.
Bheem heroically fought the Nizams, says a historical book written by Bhukya Venkateshwarlu, because Nizam's agents used to enter the forests of Gond tribals for hunting animals, and forcibly abduct the daughters and sisters of Gonds (as quoted by True Indology).
The film, starring Ram Charan as Seetharamaraju, will hit the screens in 2021.
