Lok Satta's Jayaprakash Narayan has said that Pawan Kalyan is entirely right in doing movies to make money. The former MLA, who supported Pawan in the past on some issues like Special Category Status, commented in an interview that there is nothing objectionable if politicians find ways to earn money in different ways.

"As long as something is not immoral or unethical, why should there be any objection? Nowadays, we see politicians saying that their only profession is politics. How do they earn money? They do it from politics. Politics has become their only source of enriching themselves," JP said.

He added, "Pawan Kalyan is earning money through honest means. It's completely respectful. We all should encourage politicians who earn money scrupulously."

A number of pro-Jana Sena social media handles have said that JP has silenced Power Star's critics by putting forth an eloquent defence. "Wish JD (VV Lakshmi Narayana, who recently resigned from Jana Sena) understood what JP has," a Twitter user said.
