Amidst the veteran and young heroes, Jayaram has been struggling to establish a place for himself in Malayalam film industry. However he is confident of turning things around.

He is confident that his next two films would help him resurrect his career.

In his Kanakasimhasanam, Jayaram plays the role of a drama troupe owner and the movie features Karthika as his heroine. Quite typical to Jayaram's films, it is laced with humor all through.

His next Anjil Oral Arjunan co-stars Sreenivasan with him.

The movie has two heroines, Padmapriya and Samvritha Sunil. The movie has story and screenplay by DA Razaak. Sai Kumar, Jagadi Shreekumar, Devan and Kaviyoor Ponnamma are also in the cast.
