Actor Siddharth was in for a major surprise when he attended a press conference of his movie '180' in Hyderabad on Tuesday. After his co-star Priya Anand spoke to the media about the film, Siddharth got ready to address the press. TV channels switched off the lights and pulled the microphones off Siddharth's table.
Film Journalists in Andhra Pradesh are up in arms against Siddharth for making derogatory remarks against their 'families'. Before the release of '180', local news channels N tv and ABN Andhra Jyothy telecasted programmes on how there is poor buzz about '180' and almost declared that the movie would be a flop.
Angry with the news channels, Siddharth tweeted that "these journalists will even sell off their families for such reports"
This tweet of Siddharth triggered off a controversy and AP Film Journalists' Association has demanded an unconditional apology from the actor. Film News Casters Association Of Electronic Media has dashed off a letter to Movie Artistes' Association, AP Film Chamber of Commerce and even South Indian Film Chamber of commerce demanding action against Siddharth.
Siddharth's track record of being rude to media dates back to a few more press conferences. At a media conference recently, when press asked him why he does only cholcate boy roles,he asked them if they wanted him to play female lead roles.
He had earlier also rubbished Telugu film media as journalists who live on stars and their tweets.
Our source from Telugu film Journalists' association claims that until Siddharth tenders an apology, media will continue to boycott all his films and won't carry news related to his movies anymore.
