Popular Tamil and Malayalam actress Jyothirmayi and her husband and filmmaker Amal Neerath met with an accident in a National Highways road in Kerala.

The car in which Jyothirmayi and her husband were travelling was hit by the bus that was coming from the opposite side. The couple had a miraculous escape from getting hurt. The Police department personnel rushed to the spot, rescued them and sent them to Cochin in another car.

Jothirmayi and Amal Neerath entered wedlock in April 2015. It was a love marriage.Jothirmayi has acted in 'Thalainagaran', 'Sabari', 'Naan Avan Illai' and a few other films in Tamil.
