Confusions regarding the release dates of Malayalam movies seems to be unending! Earlier we have reported that Dulquer Salmaan starrer Jomonte Suvisheshangal and Mohanlal starrer Munthiri Vallikal Thalirkumbol will be released on January 19th and January 26th respectively. Now, as per the latest update, Jomonte Suvisheshangal and Munthiri Vallikal Thalirkumbol will hit the screens on the same day, January 19th. As the A-Class theatres in the state have been indefinitely shut from today (due to the ongoing cinema strike with regards to revenue share between producer, distributors and exhibitors federation), the movies will be released only in government owned/controlled theatres (over 200) in the state.

Reportedly, many members from the exhibitors federation expressed their willingness to screen the film and so, whichever theatre agrees to screen the films will be given the movie, provided the revenue share remains the same old proportion of 60:40. As Vijay's Bairavaa is receiving overwhelming box-office collection despite being screened only at government owns/controlled theatres in the state, the producers and distributors have now decided to release all the movies that were initially slated for Christmas. The release dates of Jayasurya's Fukri and Prithviraj's Ezra will also be officially announced soon.
