Director Raju Murugan is the same unassuming man even after winning the National Award for his second feature film 'Joker'.Here is the journalist turned filmmaker's reaction to the award as he shares it exclusive with IndiaGlitz.
"The National award for the film Joker is the recognition for a simple man's dream. I consider it that way. I consider this as a tribute for the people who selflessly struggle for various issues affecting the society and also the human rights activists. Because I made this film as a tribute for them. I did not expect any award. But I am happy for every recognition received by this film because I don't see that as a recognition for me. It is the recognition for people struggling for the common good. I expected that Guru Somasundaram and Sean Roldan will win awards."
