Prominent TV personality Rashmi Gautam has called upon everyone to ensure that Faizal Siddiqui, the TikTok star, gets banned forever. This comes a day after Faizal, in a controversial and grotesque TikTok video, promoted acid-throwing at women.

"And now there is a man who is promoting acid-throwing on women, followed by 13 million people on #ticktock. I urge my fellow humans to pls wake up and use the power of social media to ban such content. Only we can do it," the 'Jabardasth' lady wrote on Twitter.

She was reacting to the ghastly 2005 incident of one 15-year-old Laxmi Agarwal getting attacked by Naeem Khan "for refusing his repeated ‘marriage proposals’". Deepika Padukone's 'Chhapaak', the Hindi film, was inspired by Laxmi Agarwal's trauma and struggle.
