John Cena faced questions about his past feud with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson during a WWE Fastlane press conference. Cena had criticized Johnson for leaving WWE to pursue Hollywood stardom, a path that Cena later followed himself. In May, Cena admitted his earlier actions were "short-sighted and selfish," acknowledging the hypocrisy of his words.

Cena acknowledged his mistakes, saying, "I went about it the wrong way. I violated his trust and I made allegations about his perspective that I knew nothing about. And deep down, I was a fan. I wanted The Rock back [in WWE]. I wanted to do anything to get The Rock back, but I did it the wrong way." He expressed regret and called it a humbling experience, recognizing that he had become what he despised.

Due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, Cena temporarily returned to WWE for the Fastlane event. When asked about his future in Hollywood post-strike, Cena revealed that Hollywood does have plans for him, but his dual commitments would pose issues, particularly due to liability insurance concerns. He mentioned halting a project during the strike and expressed hope for a resolution that benefits everyone. For now, Cena prioritizes his family and helping in the best way he can.

Cena's journey from criticizing Johnson's Hollywood career to embracing it himself has taught him valuable lessons about humility and respect. His return to WWE provides fans with an exciting twist in his evolving career.
