Action hero and WWE superstar John Cena has been officially confirmed in 'Fast and Furious 9' and is said to be playing a badass character. Vin Diesel teased his presence through a video in April but only during the past weekend, Universal has made an official confirmation. Fellow WWE superstar Dwayne The Rock Johnson who played the powerful character Luke Hobbs in the last four films and the upcoming standalone 'Hobbs and Shaw' is not a part of the new movie.
John Cena has shared "For nearly 20 years, the Fast Franchise has entertained fans and created some of the biggest cinematic moments in history. It’s an incredible honor to join this franchise and this family.". The actor's movies under production are 'Playing With Fire' , 'The Voyage of Doctor Doolittle' and 'Project X-traction' costarring Jackie Chan.
