As reported by us earlier John Allen Chau, an American tourist was killed after he illegally ventured into restricted Sentinel island where ancient tribes reside in forests and are hostile to any connection with civilization. Chau had given money to fishermen to take him close to the island and then took his own canoe to row to the island that very few have visited since history.
It is said that Chau was a Christian Missionary and wanted to convert the Sentinelese to Christianity and had said to them after landing " My name is John. I love you and Jesus loves you...Here is some fish!" He was greeted back by a flurry of arrows that the tribesmen fired at him which took his life. Fishermen have told police that they saw the tribe bury him but could not pinpoint the exact location.
The Andaman police are taking position near the Sentinelese island but will make no attempt to enter and retrieve the body as the people there very sensitive to modern diseases and if they come in contact they get terribly sick and die.
