John Abraham recently launched the trailer of his upcoming production venture 'Tara V Bilal' starring Harshavardhan Rane and Sonia Rathee in the lead. During the event, John was asked why he himself doesn't work in romantic dramas. The actor, who is best known for his action and patriotic films, stated that he'd love to do a romantic film as long as it is unique and unusual.

Talking further about why he doesn't star in his own production ventures, John said, "First I look at the content and then the casting. I like to give fresh talent a chance. Everybody is talented, not just those who are a part film fraternity, but also those from the outside.”

John added, "My endeavour as a producer is to make content driven films. That’s my drive. Even if the films don’t work (at box office), I don’t have people coming and telling me ki film achchi nahi bani thi. As an actor I feel it is safe to work with my production house. Also, a film will work because of its content and not because of my presence in it.”
