Back in 2011, actor John Abraham had collaborated with filmmaker Vipul Amrutlal Shah for the action flick 'Force' which turned out to be a huge box office success. The film also introduced the audience to Vidyut Jamwal who turned out to be an amazing action star himself. The film had a sequel in 2016 and the latest buzz suggests that John is now working on the third part of the franchise.
Apparently, John has acquired the rights from Vipul and now he is planning to bankroll 'Force 3' himself. A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, "John Abraham has acquired all the rights to the Force franchise from Vipul Shah and is all gearing up to take things to the next level on the action front. The actor is on a mission to lock a story that does justice to the kind of action spectacle he wishes to create in the universe of Force. Once the script is locked, his team will proceed to other aspect of pre-production."
'Force' franchise features John in the role of a tough and competent cop ACP Yashwardhan Singh. The third installment is supposed to go on floors by the year end or in the first quarter of 2023.
