The rising popularity of OTT Entertainment platforms have compelled several Bollywood stars to try out this new space in order to push their creative boundaries and to extend their fanbases. However, actor John Abraham doesn't feel the need to make a move towards OTTs and he has been quite vocal about it.
John has often shared that he is a big screen hero and he would like to remain so. He has always cited creative choices as his reason behind not doing OTT projects but now it seems like he has an issue with subscription costs of OTT apps as well.
During a recent interview with The Indian Express, John was asked whether he'll take up any OTTs projects in near future. The actor replied, "Not for 299 rupees! Very difficult. Of course, there is nothing wrong with it, but I don’t think I am ready for it today, maybe in the future. But, right now John Abraham is a big-screen hero. I want to be seen only on the big screen. Will I fail on the big screen? Yes, I’ll fail, but on the big screen. I don’t have a problem even if I get hammered for it."
That seems like a strange argument considering that average ticket price for John's movies is less than 299.
