Hardly had Kamal Haasan thought that his daughter will grab so much adulation. After the release of ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ the praises and bouquets have been pouring in his Alwarpet office. Not for him, but for his daughter! Since the movie’s instant success, Kamal is over the moon, not only for his own striking performance but because of Shruthi.

Shruthi Haasan’s music is speaking for herself. ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ is not only making sounds for its story but also for its background scores too. Reports had it that Kamal Haasan Fans’ Club has bestowed the title of ‘Isai Devadai’ on Shruthi. Moreover, Ex. CM J. Jayalalitha conveyed her wishes to the young music composer. It is said that Jayalalitha personally spoke to Shruthi over the phone, for almost ten minutes! A rare appraisal, believed to be for the first time from the political side.

As a father, Kamal Haasan thoroughly believed his daughter’s talent and so he gave her a chance in ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’. However, when he launched her as a music director for this one, he had initial apprehension as to how the audience will accept her modern styled music. And now, all the acclaims and congratulatory wishes have put Kamal’s mind to rest. Shruthi has truly surpassed her Appa’s expectations and that of people’s too.
