It obviously had to happen... Pooja Bhatt and team have splashed their forthcoming erotic thriller Jism 2 everywhere, literally painting the town red...
So much that they forgot that the films look can make any common man squirm and shy away from going anywhere near it...
Of late the posters of Jism 2 reportedly have been removed from the public places in Mumbai, especially the ones on buses and bus stops.
According to sources, the action was taken when Mayor Sunil Prabhu ordered the officials of Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST) to remove all the films advertisements.
In fact, the Mayor had received a letter from Vidya Chavan, member of legislative council (MLC), requesting him to take action against the posters, citing that they were disturbing and vulgar.
She also said that they were embarrassing for women and kids to pass by such posters and so should be removed from public places.
"It is vulgar and was put up almost at every bus stop. It was very awkward for me to even look at them. I endorse Vidya Chavan's view that such posters are disturbing and affecting social health.
It is not acceptable for any public organisation to allow such advertisements on their property," quoted Prabhu in an interview.
Obliging immediately to the letter, the mayor wrote to the BEST administration and in turn BEST chairman Ashok Patil instructed the staff to do away with Jism 2 ads from bus stops immediately.
e further went on to call the advertising contractor, asking them not to put up such posters henceforth.
